Orrville Swimmers Have Strong Effort At Div. II U. of Akron Sectionals

The Division II sectional swim meet at the University of Akron was a special event for the Orrville High School swim team as the girl’s team finished in 2nd place as a team with 257 points. There were 28 teams competing and Orrville gir’s finished 2nd.  The boy’s swim team took 10th place out of 22 teams which was also very impressive since they are competing with a lower number of swimmers.

Highlights include:

  • Elizabeth Maiwurm-  1st in 200 free and the 100 free as well as part of the 400 relay
  • Chloe Johnson took 3rd in the 50 free and 5th n the 100 butterfly as well as a leg in both the winning 200 and 400 relays
  • Austin Renner swam a leg in both of the winning relays as well as a 3rd place finish in the backstroke
  • Sara Auble swam a leg in both of the winning relays
  • Collin Davis was 4th in the 500 free
  • Sam Auble was 8th in the 50 free
