In a low scoring contest the Orrville High School girl’s basketball team defeated Fairless 43-26 in the opening district game.  With the score at 17-11 in favor of Orrville at the half, the Riders slowly but surely expanded its lead throughout the 2nd half.

Both teams played good pressure defense which made scoring at a premium.  The biggest difference in the game is the way in which Orrville dominated the rebounding.  In fact the final total was Orrville 43 rebounds and Fairless 26 rebounds.

Trinniti Hall had 20 points and 19 rebounds to lead Orrville in both categories. No other Orrville player scored in double figures but Kiaunna McDuffie & Lilly Suppan both added 6 rebounds.

Orrville will play Chippewa on Saturday in the district championship.  This game will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Wooster High School.  Presale is $4.00/students and $6.00/adults.  Presale is available from Orrville High School and Custom Wear on High Street.  ALL tickets at the gate will be $6.00.  Also, Orrville gets 40% of all presale and nothing that is sold at the gate.
