With a beautiful day of weather the Orrville Invitational saw many fine performances. The Orrville girs won the meet with 155 points to 2nd place Wooster with 149 points. On the boy’s side, Orrville took 3rd place with 90 points as Triway was the winner with 166 points.
Allison Plybon set the school record, meet record, and county record in the pole vault by going 11 feet 8 inches. Riley Renner won the high jump by going 4 feet 10 inches. Trinniti Hall won the 100 hurles, 4 x 200 relay, and the 4 x 100 relay. Jessica Eby won the 300 hurdles. Quiaja Joplin wont the 200 meter dash.
On the boys side, senior James Miller topped his own school record set less than a week ago in the shot put by heaving a throw of 58 feet 3 inches to take first place. In the dual meet with Madison earlier in the week, he topped Bill Rice’s 27-year old record of 57′ 4 3/4″ with a throw of 57′ 9″.
Junior Austin Pakos won the pole vault by going 10 feet 6 inches.
