The Red Rider football team is now 2-0 in PAC (Principals Athletic Conference) football with an impressive 48-14 victory on Friday night at CVCA. (Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) At the halfway point of the season the team is now at 3 wins and 2 losses.
This is the first time Orrville has played at CVCA and they have a very nice stadium that includes a turf field.
As for the game, Orrville set the tone early as it raced to a 27-0 lead in the first quarter. Senior Austin Domer returned from an ankle injury that kept him out of last weeks game and dominated the running game with touchdown runs of 65 yards, 5 yards, 35 yards, and 96 yards to finish with 244 yards on 16 carries. Quarterback Logan Domer had 145 yards of passing by completing 9 of 15 passes and also ran for 66 yards and a touchdown.
Orrville ended the night with 338 yards of rushing and the 145 yards of passing. CVCA did run the ball effectively with 300 rushing yards but only had 17 yards of passing on the night.
Next Friday night the Rider football team will host Indian Valley in another PAC Conference game. Kickoff will be 7:00 p.m. This game will feature all senior fall sport athletes being recognized prior to the game.
