The CC team traveled to compete in the Woodridge Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) Invitational. It was muddy course for the Red Riders, but that sure didn’t stop them from running. There were 20 teams in the girls’ race and Orrville finished 13th with 301 points. Woodridge won the meet with only 38 points, followed by Twinsburg in 2nd with 53 points and Brecksville in 3rd with 122 points. Maya Hamsher was the first Lady Rider to cross the finish line to be 22nd overall with a time 23:01. Alyssa Plumley came in 35th with 24:05 followed by Emerson Hamsher 82nd place with 26:05 and Ashley Stiffler ran a 26:20 to place 89th. Ellen Mc Allister ran 28:05 for the 112th spot, than Regan Seifried and Adrianna Booth ran a 30:44 and 30:45 to finish 133rd and 134th.
The Woodridge boys’ team also won the meet with 55 points with Brecksville coming in 2nd with 68 points and Kenston in 3rd with 80 points. Orrville finished 19th overall with 551 points with total of 26 teams . Caleb Endicott led the way for the Riders sprinting down the hill towards the finish line to place 68th with 19:50. Soloman Swanson came in 98th with a 20:50 followed by Nick Mc Farren with 21:32 to finish 135th. Stuart Kirkbride cross the line with 22:19 to come in 160th overall followed by Ethan Wert 170th with a 22:53, Ben Crawford 184th with a 23:58 and Jared Lustig ran a 25:17 to finish 191st .
