The Orrville boys scored big in the pool at Akron University’s Ocasek Natatorium. Even though the team was missing a couple of veteran swimmers, the Riders still racked up 96 points, good enough for a second place finish. Host Akron Hoban won the triangular meet with 154 points, and Poland Seminary High School finished with 42.
Scoring first place finishes were junior Collin Davis in the 100 yard butterfly event, freshman Caleb Wile in the 500 yard freestyle, and sophomore Andrew Endsley in the 100 yard breaststroke. These swimmers also joined junior Connor Budd to take second place in both the 200 yard medley and 200 yard freestyle relays. Budd and Davis also scored second place finishes in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke, respectively. Results for all Orrville swimmers are posted below.
Orrville will be traveling to C.T. Branin Natatorium on January 12 for a triangular with Alliance and Canton McKinley.
