The cross country team took a short bus ride over to compete in the Wooster Invitational on Saturday, September 9th. The Lady Riders finished 8th with 14 teams. Maya Hamsher was the top finisher by placing 4th with a 19:53. Alyssa Plumley ran a 22:08 for the 41st spot. The next three Riders were Ellen Mc Allister 65th with a 23:28, Emerson Hamsher 67th with a 23:37 and Regan Seifried 69th with a 23:45. Ashley Stiffler ran a 24:50 to place 79th 24:50 and Natalie Jones came in 103rd with a 28:35.
There were 20 teams in the boys’ race with Orrville finishing 10th overall. Caleb Endicott for the Riders with 17:45 to finish 32nd and right behind him in 35th was James Shupp with a 17:48. Stuart Kirkbride and Tyler Mc Farren placed 47th and 49th. Stuart ran an 18:12, while Tyler ran an 18:18. Nick Mc Farren came in 68th with an 18:37. Nolan Maag crossed the line with a 20:04 to finish 101st and Robert Batchlet placed 130th with a 23:07.
Alexis Daugherty and Ben Crawford both ran in an open race at the invite. Alexis ran a 34:51 in the girls’ open race and Ben ran a 21:17 in the boys’ open race.
