The Orrville Middle School Cross Country team competed at the Wooster Invitational on Saturday, September 9th. The girls’ and boys’ teams finished 9th overall in their divisions.
Rachel Dreher ran the fastest time for the girls’ team and her personal best for the year, finishing in the 15th overall and 3rd among all 7th grade girls. Other personal bests were Emily Batchlet, Chloe Hartzler, Allie Jones, Cate Jones, Gemma DeVincent, and Katherine Jones. The athlete who dropped the most time was Cate Jones who took 1 minute and 40 seconds off.
Josh Rittgers led the boys’ team placing 36th overall and 12th among 7th graders. The only boy athlete who lowered his personal best was Keifer Kolar.
The cross country team will have several home meets coming up on September 12th, September 26th, and the Wayne-Holmes meet featuring all the schools in Wayne and Holmes counties on October 7th at Orr Park.
