Orrville Netters Defeat CCC 3-2

The Rider boy’s tennis team defeated Canton Central Catholic on Wednesday night by a score of 3-2.  This moves the team to 2-0 on the season. Winners for Orrville were: 2nd Singles-  John Dilyard 3rd Singles-  Jeff Dilyard 1st Doubles-  Cole Duskey & Colton Shrader Next match will be Tuesday at Triway.

Softball Drops 4-2 Decision To Lexington

The Lady Riders softball team lost to Lexington 4-2 one night after beating them.  Orrville could only muster 3 hits on the night.  Included in those 3 hits was a home run by Liz Birkbeck. Bri Kauf only gave up 4 hits to Lexington as the Orrville pitcher.  She also struck out 3 Lexington batters.

Orrville baseball led Lexington 2-1 heading into the 4th inning before the Minutemen put up 7 runs in the next two innings.  Final score was Lexington 9-4. The OHS baseball team played its opener at Fleet Brenneman Field on Monday and dropped a 6-3 decision to the Dalton Bulldogs.  Orrville enters the season with only 1 full time starter returning from last years state final four team.
