Orrville Softball Dominates Northwest In 12-3 Victory

The Lady Riders softball team opened the 1st inning with a 7 run outburst to set the tone in this 12-3 win over Northwest.  The win brings the teams record to 2-2 on the season.  The next scheduled game will be Tuesday vs. Wooster at home. Orrville had 12 hits on the night.  Multiple hits

Girl’s Track 3rd; Boy’s 6th at Fairless Invitational

The OHS girl’s track team took 3rd place on Saturday at the Fairless Invitational with a total of 75 points.  (St. Thomas Aquinas was first with 140 points while Fairless was 2nd with 79 points.  There were 15 schools competing.) The Rider boy’s tennis team defeated Canton Central Catholic on Wednesday night by a score of 3-2.  This moves the team to 2-0 on the season. Softball Drops 4-2 Decision To Lexington

The Lady Riders softball team lost to Lexington 4-2 one night after beating them.  Orrville could only muster 3 hits on the night.  Included in those 3 hits was a home run by Liz Birkbeck. Bri Kauf only gave up 4 hits to Lexington as the Orrville pitcher.  She also struck out 3 Lexington batters.

Orrville baseball led Lexington 2-1 heading into the 4th inning before the Minutemen put up 7 runs in the next two innings.  Final score was Lexington 9-4.
