After the state champion ring ceremony the boys basketball team wasn’t able to complete the fun night with a victory. The Red Riders lost to the number 2 seed in the district tournament and WCAL champion Northwestern on Saturday night. The Riders came out flat and the Huskies came out hungry to secure a 84-69 win. The Riders now fall to 13-7 on the season with one game left. The Riders were led by Cayden McDaniel with 21 points and Ben Summers fought through injury to post 20 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Cooper Haley chipped in 8 off the bench and Jason Suppan added 7 points and 6 rebounds in his second start of the season. D’Vontez Brown also added 6 points and 2 rebounds. The Riders play Canton Central Catholic at home on Tuesday in their regular season finale.
